Stewardship Today: 2 Corinthians 5:1-10: St. Paul reminds us that, because of the hope of everlasting life we have in Jesus, we are moved by the Holy Spirit to do those things that please God. “Those things” include our stewardship--using all that God has entrusted to us--to make a difference in the church and the world.
Life Quote: “Abortion is un-American . . . It baldly violates the first principles of the country, cracking the foundation on which all rights for Americans rest—the right to life. Unless the right to life is inviolable, none of the rights that presuppose it are inviolable either.”

A note from Lois Watt
A note from Lois Watt (Pastor Watt’s Mother), now In Nigeria on a mission trip;
Dear family,
We got here with no problems. I was a long ride and I didn't sleep very much. It seemed as though they were always feeding us on the plane. We got on at 5:30 and so we had a meal , then we changed time so we ate breakfast at my time of 12 midnight. The Nigerian people are so friendly. Nathaniel and Teri have really made it their home. The kids are happy and have lots of friends. I am sure I will like it too. I have not gone over the Mashiah Foundation (A mission project for women with Aids) yet but Nathaniel said I should rest a week. I feel really good. All for this time. I Love you all and God bless you. Mom

Worship This Week July 2, 2006
Worship This Week – July 2, 2006Fourth Sunday after Pentecost (LW, Series B)Seasonal Emphasis: God deserves our praise
Today's General Theme: God forgives!
Mood of service: Joyful/trusting/encouraging
Notes: Where love is present, forgiveness is freely and joyfully offered to the penitent. Because God loves us so much, He delights in forgiving those who turn to Him for mercy. Last week's service emphasized the gracious aspect of God's love, today the emphasis is on His joy in forgiving. We are not to think of Him as an angry vindictive judge who is anxious to punish, rather, He is a loving father Who wants nothing more than for His wayward children to come home again and receive His blessing. He is the father in the Gospel parable. (

Today's general theme: God's children live in love

SERVICE NOTES: This is the week after Trinity Sunday (called the Octave of Trinity) and so it is appropriate that our worship continue with stress on the nature of God, as today we focus on God's love for all people.
